Bone divination has roots in primal communication, antiquity, and many cultures world round. The Syn/Tak Bone Divination Ritual is derived from the collision of Sintak (a game originating in indigenous Filipino culture - mirroring the winnowing of grains, stones or shells as a translation or interpretation of meaning) and Syntax (relating to ways in which we arrange the poetics and structure of words and language to create meaning).

Through the altar, bone talismans - just like our skeletal bones - carry epigenetic meanings. We can seek to understand the scenography of our lives through how they speak to us. We read how our past and future lives live in constellation within our present vessel, the potential of karmic contracts, illustrating the seeds of our ancestry (both blood and energetic), and immediate courses of action that we can take to claim agency over our 4-directional path.

Each representation of selfhood within this ritual has its own evolution and has been gifted to the altar, acquired ethically, received with permission/consent over the course of many generations. Their meanings shift and change based on who is sitting before them - just as we do when we interact within our many layers and universes.
